Visa, MasterCard™ and American Express®.
The service offers you safe online shopping with Visa, MasterCard™ and American Express® cards and protects you from unauthorised use of your cards.
The Visa, MasterCard™ and American Express cards issued by Alpha Bank offer you access to the Alpha SecureWeb service completely free of charge, so that you can safely shop online in thousands of certified e-stores participating in the service.
Which cards provide the Alpha SecureWeb service?
All Visa, MasterCard™ and American Express cards issued by Alpha Bank, including credit or debit and personal or corporate cards.
What is the registration procedure?
The registration procedure is simple and quick. First, you are required to enter specific personal data in order to be verified as the legal cardholder. After successful validation, you can create your personal Username, Password / SecureCode and Personal Message for each card registered to the Service.
What changes in the way online purchases are carried out?
the only difference is an additional step in the online payment procedure:
you fill in your card's details in the initial payment page of the e-store.
your card is identified as verified.
you check and confirm the Username and Personal Message displayed on the special Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode or American Express Safe Key screen of the merchant’s certified by the service.
you enter your Password/SecureCode™.
after validation of your data, you can securely proceed with your online payment.

Useful Security Tips
Alpha Bank will never ask you for your access codes in any way (e.g. via phone or e-mail). These codes are strictly personal and you must never reveal them to anyone.
Select access codes that are not easily guessed and are not being used on other systems and services.
Keep the access codes confidential in a way that it is not feasible to be disclosed / stolen.
Log in to Alpha Web Banking only via the official website of Alpha Bank (www.alpha.gr) and never via other links appearing on other websites, search engines or e-mail messages.
Verify the validity of the Alpha Web Banking page and the security certificate by clicking on the lock icon in the address bar of the browser.
Update your PC with the latest versions and security patches of the operating system (e.g. Windows) and the browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox).
Inspect regularly your PC for viruses and other malicious programs using the latest versions of antivirus and antimalware utilities.
Ignore and delete immediately «suspicious» e-mails that ask you to provide your personal data, include links or attachments.
