Sales and orders through the Phone.
Companies that accept telephone orders capture cards’ data (card number, expiration date etc.) through the phone, fax machine or email, may now enter this data into a Virtual EFT/POS. The data entry and management system is user-friendly and can be used by any authorised user of the company without any special skills. A special authorisation by the Bank is required to use this facility.
How does the collection through the Alpha e-Pay e-Commerce Service works?
Four simple steps:
1.
Once your customer has completed the selection of products or services s/he wants to buy through your e-shop, s/he has to choose to pay using a credit or debit card.
2.
A new window appears on screen (pop up window) – meaning that s/he has been transferred to a secure Alpha Bank web page. In this page s/he imports the card’s data to pay. (For security reasons your company does not have access to the card’s data). On this page, both Alpha Bank’s and your company’s logos appear.
3.
As soon as your customer completes inputting his card’s data, Alpha Bank attempts to debit the card with the amount requested by your e-Commerce shop. Depending whether the transaction is accepted, the Bank returns a positive or negative reply to your customer.
4.
Through Alpha e-Pay Merchant Tools you may monitor transactions online, cancel any of them if needed, submit a batch of them for clearing and settlement.
What is offered by the Alpha e-Pay?
Operational all 24 hours a day.
Any Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, American Express issued by any bank can be used for payment.
Possibility to inform the user through email that his card is going to be charged by a specific amount (optional).
Allows for the cancellation of a transaction.
High security level.
Supports 3D- Secure Transactions (the System asks the customer for the card’s e-commerce password, provided that the issuer bank supports that method).
Interest-free instalments for your customer (optional).
Credit of the collected amounts the day after the submission of transactions for clearing and settlement.
Administration and management of all transactions by an authorised employee of your company, through the Alpha E- Pay Merchant Tools Service. Using these tools, you may:

Monitor on-line the sales/ payments made through your e-shop.

Be informed about the authosized and rejected payments.

Cancel a transaction before authorisation, if needed.

Close a batch of transactions and submit them to the Bank for clearing and settlement.
