Alpha Bank, and specifically its Investor Relations Division, was awarded an important distinction on May 2009. Despite the unfavourable conditions in the financial markets and the economy at large, the Investor Relations of the Bank ranked 1st in Greece in a survey conducted by the international financial magazine 'Institutional Investor'. A total of 430 fund managers across the world voted in this survey. The rest of the top five positions in ranking were taken up by Coca-Cola HBC, Mytilineos Group, HELEX, and NBG. This distinction follows last year’s 2nd position awarded to Alpha Bank in the context of the corresponding survey run by Thomson Reuters Extel. |

Ïn December 2007, the Software Applications Division completed successfully the initial assessment and certification procedure of the Quality Management System in accordance with the ISO 9001:2000 Reference Standard by the Bureau Veritas Certification. The Quality Management System spans the activities of project management, design, development and maintenance of the Division's appliccation software. The certification is renewed every three years and is subject to annual audits by the aforementioned certification body. The aim of the Software Applications Division is to apply the Quality Management System in practice and to ensure its efficient operation and its constant improvement. |

During the ceremony held on 28 September 2006 to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the establishment and operation of the Athens Stock Exchange, Alpha Bank was presented with the top award among all listed companies for recording uninterrupted profits for more than a quarter of a century, for contributing to the development of the Greek Exchange as an institution, and for having paid out dividend to its Shareholders every year since 1948. The award was received by Mr. Demetrios P. Mantzounis, Managing Director of the Bank. The Bank was listed on the Stock Exchange for the first time on 2 November 1925, as "Banque de Credit Commercial Hellenique". In the aftermath of World War II, the Bank had to undergo a complete reorganisation, something it achieved remarkably quickly. Starting with the financial year 1948, when it paid out a token dividend of Drs 1,50, the Bank has ever since repeatedly paid out dividend to its Shareholders. Mr. Spyros Capralos, President of the Athens Exchange, also presented an award to former Athens Exchange President Mr. Christos A. Theodoridis, the most senior living and longest-serving Athens Exchange President. Mr. Christos A. Theodoridis is Honorary Chairman of Alpha Finance, a company of the Alpha Bank Group. |
